We've invited six speakers to share some thoughts on design philosophy, technique, entrepreneurship, and more. This episode will be focused on Making: the hands on process of prototyping an idea and then iterating on it.
Karen creates meaningful and connected experiences in the physical world spanning hardware and software. Most recently at Jawbone she designed interactive experiences on Jawbone's bluetooth headsets and speakers. Karen is also a design mentor for the Designer Fund.
Vivian has taken her industrial design background to IDEO where she's led projects for clients around the world. Before IDEO she worked on the industrial design team at fuseproject. She studied Industrial and Product Design at California College of Arts.
Jeffrey is the CXO / Head of Design at Betable, a gambling platform that game developers can integrate into their applications. Previously Jeffrey was VP of Product at SimpleGeo, Director of Design & UX at Digg and Chief Creative Officer at Threadless.
Kyle loves to build beautiful things with software and tools to make our future happen faster. At GitHub, he is helping create a better way to design, build and ship software.
Brad has been working on mechanical engineering design projects at IDEO for 3 years since he was at MIT where he earned a masters in Mechanical Engineering.
At IDEO, Tobias has been working on a range of different products, both physical and digital, including tablet computers, concepts for mobile phones, new opportunities for the media industry, financial services, smartphone applications and personal accessories for hearing-aid users.
We'll be at IDEO's San Francisco office located at the Pier 28 Annex on The Embarcadero, just under the Bay Bridge.
